About this poem

Llyn-y-fan is a small lake in the Brecon Beacons. I grew up in South Wales and wrote this poem following a visit a couple of years ago. It was an attempt to describe the wild beauty and intransigence of the Welsh hills in winter, with a glance at their redemptive qualities.
