Little Wounds by Mike Wilson

Little Wounds

They’re flying drones, not kites

in the March afternoon park

where I exercise my soul

No diamond-faced sailors

chest-bumping urgent wind

blowing in renewal from Gaia

Just winged plastic, microchip

sensors, stringless humming

switchblades slicing air
